The Cuddly Critters are fan-made monsters whose name start with the word "cuddly", hence their group nickname.
The Cuddly Critters are animate plush animals with mostly identical body features except for the "unique" features that identify what animal a Cuddly Critter is supposed to represent. In general, a Cuddly Critter has a round head, blank facial features, pouch-shaped body with an oval-shaped marking lighter than its body's color, and stumpy arms and legs. There are eight variants, distinguished by their color and unique features, but all of them share the same stats.
The Cuddly Bunny is yellow and based on a rabbit. Its face has one Mii eye attached to it.
The Cuddlycupine is red and based on a porcupine, as its name suggests. Its face has a Mii nose attached to it.
The Cuddly Skunk is blue and based on a skunk. Its face has a Mii mouth attached to it.
The Cuddly Squirrel is green and based on a squirrel. Its face has either a Mii eye, nose, or mouth attached to it.
The Cuddlymunk is pink and based on a chipmunk, as its name suggests. Its face has two Mii eyes attached to it.
The Cuddly Beaver is purple and based on a beaver. Its face has Mii glasses attached to it.
The Cuddly Kitty is light blue and based on a cat. Its face has a pair of Mii eyes and eyebrows attached to it.
The Cuddly Wolfy is dark red and based on a wolf. Its face has a Mii eye and mouth attached to it.
|Attack||Inflicts pathetic damage to one party member.|
Cuddly Critters normally appear on specific spots during exploration like all common monsters. However, during the main story, these will pop up often the higher the level of the player's highest-leveled party member to the point that these unwanted encounters can even overwrite all monsters that can normally appear in cleared stages. The only way to avoid this is to keep progressing through the story.
In the post-game, these may be mixed up with common encounters, but their encounter rate is no longer influenced by level.
