Status effects are a returning gameplay mechanic to Miitwopia, however, some effects are changed and new ones are added.

Mii Status Effects[]

Emotional Status Effects[]

Status Effect Name Condition effects
Angry makes the afflicted Mii attack twice in one turn, however, disabling all non-attacking skills. If the Mii is player controlled, all the non-attacking skills are greyed out and non-selectable, but you can still choose which attack the controlled Mii uses.
Confused The Mii will use a random attack on a random target. this, however, can be harmful if a healing skill is directed at an enemy or a damaging skill is directed at an ally. If a player-controlled Mii is confused, the GUI will be messed up: buttons will be in the wrong places.
Crying Makes the afflicted Mii sometimes miss their attacks.
Dancing Makes the afflicted Mii dance instead of using attacks.
Distracted Lowers all stats temporarily. The GUI will have a fog effect.
Evil Makes a Mii skip their turn, and trip up others during their turns, raising resentment.
Flustered The Mii cannot attack, but can still heal others as well as themself.
Good Mood The affected Mii will deal 1.5x damage when attacking, enemies will do 0.25x the amount of damage.
Hyper Locks a Mii into their normal attack and makes every attack do double damage.
Infatuated The Mii will not attack the enemy, giving them all their HP bananas instead. Replaces the "Pharaoh's Curse" status effect.
Laughter Makes a Mii skip their turn.
Lethargic Locks a Mii into their normal attack and makes every attack deal 0.75x damage, but enemies will do 0.5x damage to the Mii.
Moody Will have a Mii not care about the combat, making attacks do only 0.5x damage.
Nervous Will cause a Mii to be too nervous to move, and when another Mii attacks, the nervous Mii will cling onto the other Mii, raising relationship.
Scared Will cause the Mii to be too scared to move.

Physical Status Effects[]

Asleep The Mii will fall asleep, healing some HP every turn.
Barrier There is a barrier protecting the Mii, making attacks do 0.25x damage against them.
Burned The Mii's butt will be on fire, slowly draining away HP.
Concussion The Mii is knocked out and cannot be brought back into the battle by any means other than the INN: If the group wins the battle, the Mii is unable to participate in battles for the rest of the level. The Mii cannot be revived via skills or life sprinkles.
Cursed The Mii will die in 5 turns unless the battle is won.
Chained The Mii will be unable to be moved into the safe spot or move.
Covered In Spiders The Mii will take damage every turn.
Embargo The Mii cannot eat snacks.
Faceless The Mii will be unable to move. this status effect cannot be cured via safe spot, only defeating the enemy that has the Mii's face on it.
Frozen The Mii will be frozen in ice, making them unable to move.
Headache The Mii will take a little damage each turn.
Knocked Out The Mii will be unable to take their turn. if all Miis are knocked out, the battle ends.
Nauseous The Mii will feel sick to their stomach, slowly draining HP.
Nightmare The Mii will fall asleep and have a nightmare, taking away HP each turn.
Old The Mii will grow old, halving their Attack, Magic, and Defense.
Shield There is a shield protecting the Mii. There can be up to 2 shields on the Mii. The Mii cannot be hurt as long as a shield is on them. however, the shield is fragile and will break when attacked.

Broken Buttons One random button is disabled. this can be a button for an attack (I.E. Jump slash), or a menu button(Like the Skills or Snacks button.) this effects every player-controlled Mii.
Screen Distortions The screen has a distortion on it- either a crack, inverted colors, or a swirl effect.
Anti-Sprinkles Disables sprinkles.
